Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma was the first woman to chair the African Union Commission, serving from 2012 to 2017. A medical doctor by training, she has held some of South Africa’s most senior cabinet posts, including Minister of Health, Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs and Cooperative Governance.
